Arcana's extravagantly scented delectables have been handmade in Portland, Oregon since 2003. Their goods are vegetarian, 100% cruelty free, absolutely never tested on animals. They incorporate fairly-traded and organic ingredients, as well as decadent essences and handmade extracts, exotic fragrant notes, rare botanicals, and rich, skin-loving butters and oils.  Arcana's scents are informed by 18 years of studying and creating perfume oils, as well as such diverse disciplines as history, poetry, herbalism, science, theology, philosophy, mythology, unbidden visions, fever dreams, and a cheerful urge to embrace devilry, bawdiness, and the wild, irrepressible mischief-maker in us all.  These make a terrific gift, and let's face it....I don't mind dirty pirates, I just wouldn't want to be too close to one for too long. Filthy Viking: Between the sea voyages and the pillaging, it must have been difficult for Odin's henchmen to stay fresh. Too bad they didn't have this fiercely cleansing bar with scrubbing pumice, deodorizing coffee and the scents of the Viking world: bracing Norwegian juniper and frigid Icelandic mint.

Mutiny: Tyrants be damned! The scent of discontent, broken ranks and open rebellion on the sea. Indonesian patchouli combines with black pepper, dark wood and a smoky haze of gunpowder. Enriched with macadamia oil, coconut milk and a swirl of Her Majesty's navy blue.

The Sweet Trade (Limited Edition): This laid-back tropical tangle celebrates the less black-hearted side of piracy. With heady notes of caramel, honey, orange blossoms, coconut cream and dark Indonesian patchouli. Made with organic molasses, prime-pressed cocoa butter and avocado oil.
