The latest: All over the world, including Ecuador, raw cotton has flown up 18% in cost. To compound that, Ecuador used to enjoy a much smaller tariff rate than other countries, for being a partner with USA in the fight against drugs. They have just lost that standing, and import tariffs from Ecuador have jumped from a miniscule token amount to 23%! That adds almost a 3rd to the cost of an item if you include the amount of freight from South America. All of my Pro-Series suppliers are scrambling to stay afloat in the face of these major hikes in cost. I am doing my best to keep stock of these items but please have patience during this difficult time.
For the serious re-enactor, piratical performer, or anyone who wants a historically accurate looking fabric with heavy duty wash and wear appeal. At long last we have what you want and more! The Pro Series! US grown Pima Cotton is then hand woven in Ecuador on virgin looms (no synthetics ever touch the loom). The weave is thick and tactile and has a marvelous hand hewn look and feel. It will stand up to just about any wear you can dish out (aside from battle wounds). Historically accurate with no elastic, only drawstring at neck and wrists. Not overly full sleeves. Natural deep ivory color. For super fullness of sleeves, just go with a bigger size. Perfect for Renaissance Faire performers that are expected to look authentic. A favorite of the Pirate Dinner Cruise Staff as these can be washed over and over again. Bust measurement A-lines out to the hips, so the hips are always 4 inches bigger than the bust. Available up to 4X. Measurements given are the actual fabric, not your bust size. Order with plenty of room for fullness.
